Well well, another year has pass..

Last year, was thinking to myself, “Wa.. the next CNY i already in army liao..” and poof. there goes a year. Super fast.

Finished my military phase.. left with 2 IV and one 16km route march to go before i POP as a medic.

Met up with Karen and Meiyun and we went lunch together. =]

Im so bored. Cant play the Maple Story Private Server “BankaiStory”. ARGH!

Hospital attachment is fine. Got to see lots of stuff like catheterization, ETT insertion, suturing and other stuffs. One incident is on the news. A female was jogging at yishun when she was stabbed by an unknown guy. Was sent to TTSH where i was attached to and had suffered from multiple wounds. Need lots of stitches. I believe when she healed, she will be a stronger person. =]

Oh man! Now is the Military phase. Got to chiong sua and route march liao. Lucky only 1 week. Phew. After that is CNY!! =]]

Second day of Ambulance Attachment

Well, first of all, i went out with Mandy, Hua and Qian to orchard at night when im much available. Had Ajisen and went walking around those new shopping centres such as Mandarin Gallery and B3@313. Not bad, those shops are so spacious and lots of varieties.. too bad, they are sooooo expensive, expected though.

Next day, is my second day at Bishan Fire Station. Had my first call before we headed to Toa Payoh Fire post where we rot there.

Case 1:

First call is from a sikh family. The grandma is feeling dizzy when she turn to her right side. So she had to lie left. Nothing much. Just that she vomit abit only. Sent to TTSH and thats all.

Case 2:

CANCELLED HALFWAY.

Case 3:

Case 4:

A 88yrs old peranakan lady. Her daughter called for us. Her BP is high and having hypoglycemia, fever for 2 days. Load and Go, so on the way, even though she don’t understand english because she speaks malayu, she will smile and nod to me when i talk to her. Very sweet rewarding. But its a pity that she might have a pair of hands that cooked delicious nonya dishes before. =( Nothing much though.

IM AM SOOOO DISSAPOINTED WITH THE ATTACHMENT BECAUSE OTHERS HAVE 8 CASE OR SO BUT I ONLY HAVE 3!!!! ARGH!

That is when my paramedic, Geraldine told me that i can actually apply for the CD Auxillary Unit. WOO! And then poof! i sign up for it le. =] Hope its successful, then i will get more and more experiences and exposure.. yipppe!

ITS FUN!

I got night shift, 9p.m to 8a.m. It was actually boring because there isn’t much calls. Only got 2, and which 1 is stupid.

Case 1:

Got the first call while checking the ambulance’s stuff, damn impromptu, so we move off and happen to be my ex teacher’s home. Her mom collasped and we suspect it was hypoglycemia.. but her hypocount turn out to be 14.8 which is quite high consider that a normal one is 4-8 mmol. So we evacuated her on the ambulance and we suspect stroke because her left limbs seems to be weak and her right eyes did not react much to light.. (because right side of brain control right side of head and left side of body) Reach TTSH and she keep talking. At first her words is unrecognisable.. but at hospital, its clear.. she was saying “My throat is dry” “Give me water” “Aiyo, my throat is pain” “Omg, i got sore throat” “I can’t get up” “Help”

I felt sad because we can’t do anything, since our policy is NIL BY MOUTH. (afraid they might fell unconcious which might induce choking if we were to give water or solid by mouth)

Case 2:

Stupid case. Happen during 3.40A.M. was woken by the alarm and rush to Ambulance. then on the way we were like, wth? heated argument… don noe what assault here and there.. turn out when we reach there, nothing happen, only got policeman and a uncle there. The uncle called the 995 because he was punched by a china lady.. SUPER LAME ok. My paramedic was like, telling the uncle that he shouldn’t call us because its not emergency. -.-

Anyway i think being a paramedic is super fun. And alot more professional. WOOTS!

Gosh! look at me! Not updating about my medical centre attachment.. My bad..

Well, got to do lots of hands-on stuff and the thing is, the other medical centre are not doing their jobs! My other course mates are not learning anything there.. how pity sia.. =(

Mandy Ng Pui Man came back from NZ on tuesday night. Yesterday night manage to go out with her.. we went to NorthPoint to hang out and ate supper together.. xuxu jiu (updating each others) ma.. I think this weekend we going out again, this time with hua and qian.. =]

This is the Hot Chocolate i ordered from McCafe. Cute huh.

Ok, so this morning i went to swim with ting2. Came back on the bus and Jing Ling found me on the bus. She was working at 3M company near my house. After i got off, i called her.. and this is the convo..

J:Hello

M: jing ling ar.. tml you wan lunch together?

J: for what?

M: cos you work so near me ma, so i tot we can have lunch tgt.. you tml got work right?

J: yea got..

M: so you wan lunch tgt?

J: but i work at raffles medical group leh..

M: huh!? you work there meh.. i tot you work at 3M?

J: no?

M: you bluff me issit.. kns.. just now on bus you still tell me you work at 3M… no meh?

J: where got!?

M: huh!? you jing ling right?

J: you call jing jing to ask for jing ling? you siao ar..

M: EHHH!! LOLOLOLOLOL! OMG i call wrong la! wa piang.. this is such a big joke.. LOL!

GOSH! Tonight is my first shift of Ambulance, 8p.m to next day 8a.m. 12 hrs shift… im super excited and nervous wor.. Im posted to Bishan Fire Station. I hope i can help out abit, expose myself to stuff i never seen in my life. JIA YOU!

Medical Centre Day 1

WOO! Excited as it is, i finally got to experience hands on in Medical Centre yesterday at Sembawang Camp! Its a pity i cant share what i did and learn.. =( Oh wait.. i think i can do this.. hmm.. I DID INTRAMUSCULAR INJECTION on a live patient IMPROMPTU! SHIOK!

After the day, went to HSA Blood Bank to donate my second bag of blood.. is nice actually.. though i felt abit dizzy, but got over it soon enough.. =]] im sooo going to donate again..HEH!

After that went to AMK hub to check on Tooth Fairy. 9.40p.m slot is full, thus we bought the 11.45p.m one.. so i went back home to bath and have LATE DINNER before heading to amk hub again to catch the movie.. its funny.. but i don like the storyline.. super boring and common.. =( (And its abit ridiculous..)

Ok, not much now.. got to go purchase my colour contacts! =]]

Was booking out today and Khair and i was taking bus when we were joking. Somehow or rather, he replied me “Yes, Sir” So i tell him to pretend that im a officer. And he replied “Yes, Sir” So as i rational, i told him i would be a full lieutenant because of my age. And mind you, im like using a loud hailer and we then realised that beside me is a full lieutenant reservist. LOL! We were laughing like hell.

This week is a tough one. Mentally tough. Imagine from 8 to 12, and 1.30 to 5.30 of lectures? Besides, we were in the same room for the whole 4 bloody days. Been through 2 days, and 2 more coming up next. This friday is our first day Medical Center Attachment. Quite looking forward to it. =]]

Finally! End of EMT 2 phase.. now proceeding into the Health Package phase.. where all the attachments coming in..
A little change in the attachments, i will be going to Sembawang Air Base Medical Center instead of the Mandai Hill Camp Medical Center. Nearer to my house somemore..

Finished the tedious and difficult Theory and Practical test. Able to pass is lucky already. Phew.. Learned about the ESP (Emergency Surgical Procedure) Quite interesting.. hahaha..

JOKE OF THE DAY:

We were going to do a “SURVEY” and the password to login individual acc is by entering 3 numbers followed by an alphabet and lastly MM and DD. Our dear E***n **h, he typed exactly like this “****MMDD” LOL! The MM suppose to be MONTH and the DD suppose to be DAY! LOL!

Ok, im going to enjoy my weekends.. going to be a mentally tough week coming up next!

PS: i think i noe my posting already.. quite scary.. AHHH!!!

Morning meet up with Hua and Qian for breakfast at Mac. Yakking away and huahua found out another secret of mine! LOL..

Afternoon went to celebrate luc de birthday which is tomorrow, 11th Jan. Lunch at Aston, The Cathay, and had a good time chatting all the way. I hope we have lots of outings like this to keep in touch.

Went to my uncle house to visit my grandma who has been staying there temporary because she just had the eye operation to remove the cataract. Shes safe and fine now =]

Went to CWP to have dinner at Pizza Hut with sis who just cut her hair. Looks funny at first.. Like some malaysian tomboy. Its just so wierd..

Going back into camp soon. in half an hour time. Another week has passed!
